Who gets the final word in your life? We all live under authority, whether it comes from parents, pastors, government, other people, or simply our own desires. But authority determines trajectory, so who we follow matters. In Philippians 3:12–21, Paul challenges us to discern where our authorities are leading us and ultimately points us to Jesus, the true King who is both Lord and Savior. Unlike broken human authority, Jesus uses his power for our good. He gave his life for rebels, rose from the dead, and is coming again to bring everything under his good authority. We weren’t designed to carry the weight of being our own king. The question underneath every question is simple: Who's in charge?
