What if the biggest problem with religion is that it can never actually take away our guilt?
In Hebrews 8–10, we see how the Old Covenant sacrificial system pointed forward to something greater: Jesus, our perfect High Priest, who offered himself as the final sacrifice for sin. Religion tells us to keep working, sacrificing, and proving ourselves, but Jesus offered one sacrifice for sins and sat down because the work was finished. In this message, we’ll see why Jesus ends religion by ending our guilt, how his sacrifice cleanses our conscience, and why we no longer have to prove ourselves or pay for our own sin. Jesus has dealt with our guilt once for all, so now we’re free to live for him.
We hope this encourages and challenges you. Thanks for listening!
