In Exodus 12–13, the Passover shows us that judgment comes for everyone, but God provides a substitute. Israel was not rescued because they were better than Egypt. They were rescued because they trusted God and came under the blood of the lamb. The Passover ultimately points to Jesus, the true Lamb of God, who took the judgment sinners deserve.
Rescue is not earned. It is received by faith. We are saved by the blood of Jesus, not by our morality, success, or religious performance. Those who have been delivered are called to remember Christ, follow Him, and tell others that salvation is found in Him alone.
