This week we finish Esther in chapters 8-10. We see how violence gave the Jews rest from their enemies in this story, but how that foreshadows a greater rest that Jesus would win for his people. He would allow violence to befall him, rather than his enemies. And we're his enemies. His grace conquered our greatest enemy on our behalf.
