Today we study Luke 18:18-30 in order to see what it takes to follow Jesus. What Jesus asks of the rich young ruler looks impossible. But what's impossible with people is possible with God! The rich young ruler is in direct contrast to Zaccheaus (last week), who saw his need for Jesus. The rich young ruler is blinded to his need, and money gets in his way. We'll see that money (1) builds us up in all the wrong ways, and (2) gives us a false sense of security. But our only hope of true security is in knowing and being known by Jesus. We pray that this message encourages and challenges you. Thanks for listening!
