If God loves us, why does He allow us to suffer? And how can we endure hardship without becoming bitter or giving up? Today, we studied Hebrews 12:1–11 to discover that God's discipline isn't punishment; it's preparation. Like a loving father, God uses both correction and difficult circumstances to strengthen our faith, develop holiness, and prepare us for eternity. But suffering doesn't automatically make us more like Jesus. We must learn to trust God and persevere through it, even when we don't understand what He's doing. And because Jesus took the punishment our sins deserved on the cross, we can know that God's discipline isn't meant to condemn us, but to make us more like Christ. We were challenged to throw off the weights that hold us back, keep our eyes on Jesus, and trust our heavenly Father through every season of suffering. We hope this message encourages and challenges you to trust Jesus more deeply and follow Him more faithfully. Thanks for listening!
