Today, we studied Hebrews 5:1–6:3 to learn that real listening always leads to real living. The author warns that spiritual dullness doesn’t come from ignorance, but from hearing truth without responding to it. He reminds us that Jesus, our perfect High Priest, obeyed fully in our place so we could be forgiven and changed. Because of the gospel, obedience isn’t a way to earn God’s love, but a response to it, as the Holy Spirit carries us forward into maturity one step at a time.
